Somatics for Stress
THU DEC 17, 10:30 - 11:30 AM CST (THU DEC 17, 10:30 - 11:30 AM CST)

Life asks a lot of the body. Most of us don't notice until… the body starts sending strongly worded letters.

This class is a weekly space to reconnect through movement, breath, sound, touch, and somatic awareness, building a real somatic toolkit for meeting those moments of stress instead of just pushing through.

Some weeks you'll move and release. Some weeks you'll sit and listen inward. Every week, you'll leave with practical practices you can apply in your actual life. Not just a nice hour, but a shift in your relationship to stress. Come put in the reps for the ways you hope to show up — with more compassion, curiosity, and self-responsiveness to your needs.

Over time, here's what tends to shift: less charge leaking into tomorrow's hard conversations. More of you showing up for the people you love. A little more room between what happens and how you respond, acting from what you care about instead of reacting on autopilot. We can't promise the waves of stress will disappear, but you'll get better equipped to not drown in them.

What to expect:

  • Each week opens with the same centering practice and closes with time to reflect, integrate, and share, so it always feels familiar even as the practices you learn together in the middle change week to week.

  • Practices may include movement, breath, sound, touch, and somatic awareness.

  • You'll leave with practical tools you can use outside of class when stress shows up in everyday life.

  • No experience needed. Come as you are, and trust your body to tell you what it needs that day.
